Dec 07, 2005 (D McKay) - A quartz vein consisting of massive white bull quartz with sugary white quartz on its margins outcrops on a rock knob on the south side of a large hill. The host rock is sheared mafic metavolcanic and intermediate to mafic tuff. The metavolcanic rocks strike N60 degrees E and dip vertically. The host rocks are well mineralized with pyrite near the contacts of the host vein. A large open pit or shaft about 3 m by 3.6 m by 4.5 m deep has been sunk on the vein which is about 9 m wide and strikes approximately north with a vertical dip. The pit or shaft contains a great deal of water at the bottom so that the true depth of the excavation could not be determined.
