Mineralization Comments

Jul 16, 2018 (Therese Pettigrew) - Grab sample 56925 collected by Eldor Resources in 1986 returned an assay of 19,580 ppm Zn from a felsic volcanic (AFRI 42D15SW0058). Sample 30046 collected by Phoenix Matchewan Mines in 2005 assayed 2795 ppm Zn (AFRI 20000000629). Stringer and banded sulphides may represent either remobilized, VMS--style mineralization in a deformation zone, and/or footwall--type, stringer mineralization. A high-density lake sediment and water survey conducted by the Ontario Geological Survey identified a number of anomalous areas including the Prospect Lake (Cu, Zn, +/-Pb, +/-Au) and Spider Lake (Cu, Zn) areas (Schnieders et al., 1999).
