Dec 07, 2005 (D McKay) - The occurrence comprises a < 4 m wide, bull-white quartz vein striking 170 . It is in contact with a biotite-rich schist on the east and a pink to grey, fine-grained, aplitic phase of the Terrace Bay batholith on the west. The vein consists of colourless to bull-white to smoky black quartz with euhedral cubes of pyrite <1 cm to 3 cm across and some magnetite. There are some biotitic and chloritic seams. The sulphides, <50% locally, are irregularly distributed; fracture surfaces are rusty. Vein contacts are sharp with locally developed envelopes of coarse-grained biotite and chlorite (relic shear zones).
