Access Description: The northern showing is located on the eastern side of the Greenhedge Lake-Southpine Lake fault between Flicker and Chapman Lakes. The southern showing is situated on the northeastern shore of Northpine Lake. The area is approximately 32 km north of Schreiber (claim map G-609, Rope Lake area). Access may be gained by aircraft or via an unsurfaced, all-weather gravel road which connects Terrace Bay and Geraldton. The road is located about 6.4 km to the east of the southern showing.

Dec 07, 2005 (D McKay) - Carter (1975, p.21) described the occurrences at Chapman and Greenhedge Lakes as follows: Considerable prospecting work has been done in the region around Chapman Lake. The most important showing is located on the eastern side of the Greenhedge Lake-Southpine Lake Fault between Flicker and Chapman Lakes. It consists of disseminated chalcopyrite in a quartz body 200 feet (60 m) long and 50 feet (15 m) wide located in the fault. The attitude of the body could not be determined but its long axis is in the direction of the fault. The quartz contains about 5 percent chalcopyrite, and malachite is on the surface of the quartz. There are two other copper showings in this area. These consist of traces of pyrite and chalcopyrite in the fault zone. A further occurrence of chalcopyrite along the fault is situated about 1 mile (1.6 km) south of Chapman Lake on the eastern shore of Northpine Lake. This showing consists of a quartz vein 1 foot (30 cm) wide in a sheared grey biotite leucogranite containing 1 to 2 percent chalcopyrite as disseminated grains up to ? inch (0.6 cm) across. Phelan (1971) described the geology of the area as follows: The area is one predominantly underlain by granitic gneisses and migmatites, with numerous inclusions of altered volcanic and sedimentary rocks. The claim group covers a very pronounced northwest-trending linear depression that quite apparently represents a regional fault zone. At intervals along this depression there are exposures of sheared and shattered gneisses, cemented by quartz veinlets and carrying quite significant quantities of chalcopyrite, and lesser pyrite. Rock outcrops are limited in the valley, but there are several showings of similar mineralization over a two mile length on and between Chapman and Flicker Lakes. The overall impression is one of a major fault, accompanied by copper mineralization.

Regarding the main showing, Carter (1975, p.21) states: The quartz contains about 5 percent chalcopyrite, and malachite is on the surface of the quartz. No assay data are available.
