Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (D McKay) - Bartley (1942, p.9) described the occurrence as follows: A property consisting of one claim on the same strike as the Sjolander-McKirdy and closely resembling that property is known as the Fisher. A 2-foot vein of mixed carbonate and quartz, striking N70 degrees E and dipping 65 degrees NW, is located approximately 1? chains north of the trail between Big Duck and Little Duck Lakes, about half-way between the two lakes. A number of trenches and shallow pits, now filled in, dot the showing. The footwall side of the vein is a garnetiferous mica schist, and the hanging wall is a hornblende schist. There are relatively more sulphides and quartz stringers here than on the Sjolander-McKirdy property. Other veins appear in the neighbouring porphyry but are small and sparsely mineralized.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (D McKay) - Wells (1984, assessment files) described the Fisher property as follows: On line 10W at 2+50S there are 3 deep (15 m) shafts which are called the Fisher showing. The host rock is a massive mafic rock but 25 metres to the north is an intrusive quartz-porphyry. Most of the rubble form the shafts is a massive mafic material although a few blocks of rusty vein material consisting of carbonate, quartz, actinolite, 1-2% pyrite and traces of hematite were found. A grab sample of the carbonate vein material collected from the occurrence by Wells (1984, assessment files) returned an assay of 5702 ppb Au.

May 29, 2019 (Therese Pettigrew) - Stares drilled DDH BD06-011 on a zone they were calling East Coco. This drill hole returned assays of 0.619 g/t Au over 3 m (Assessment file 20000002793). Samples collected returned assays of up to 2.42 g/t Au (Sample N540089) and 7.51 g/t Ag (Sample N540090) (Assessment report 20000008781). Samples collected by Clear Gold Resources returned the following results: Sample 237058: 7.281 ppm Au, 63 ppm Ag, and 2232 ppm Zn; Sample 237059: 1.710 ppm Au, and 17 ppm Ag. The samples were described as containing quartz, carbonate, actinolite, chlorite, pyrite, chalcopyrite, sphalerite, and molybdenite (Assessment report 20000008066).
