Location Method: Data Compilation

Access Description: Drive north of Nipigon along Highway 11 and turn onto the Gorge Creek Road. There is a weather station at the corner and a compression station on the left 0.5 km before turn. The intersection with the Gorge Creek road is 36.8 km from corner of Highway 11 and 17. Turn left 3.7 km down Gorge Creek Road. At the he 5.9 km mark from the highway 11 turn left agin and go straight till km 8.7 where a new access road leads to an old birdge at km 10.5. It id sn ATV trail after this point.



Exploration History

The property encompasses or is adjacent to the Carrot, Jackpot, Salo and Southwest showings. 1955: Conwest staked or optioned the claims covering the showings after E.W. Hadley made a discovery of spodumene on the Island showing. Conwest mapped the pegmatite outcrops and drilled 31 holes, totalling 3284 m on the Jackpot showing, 8 holes, totaling 153.5 on the Salo Showing and 2 holes, totaling 182.8 m on Southwest showing. 1956: Conwest sold the property to Ontario Lithium. 1957: Ontario Lithium drilled 8 holes, totaling 159.9 m on Salo Showing. 1960: Claims over the Carrot Lake Showing were allowed to lapse. 1978: L. Lacasse restaked the Carrot Lake area and transferred them to Cominco Ltd. 1980: Cominco allowed the claims to lapse. 2009: P. Robert and W. Kornick staked claims over the Salo and Carrot Showings. 2011: Caracle Creek International Consulting completed a prospecting assessment report for claimholders P.Robert and W. Kornick. Kornick also partnered in on a larger TerraQuest airborne Magnetic/VLF survey of the immediate area of the showings. 2013: W. Kornick restaked the claim block after having lapsed. 2014: W. Kornik and L. Kornik conducted prospecting and mapping. 2015: Everton Resources optioned the W. Kornick claims and conducted prospecting and sampling. 2016: Wade Kornik completed a program of prospecting and sampling. 2018: Imagine Lithium completed a LiDAR survey. 2024: Imagine Lithium completed diamond drilling.

Geology Comments

Jan 05, 2017 (Andrew Tims) - The Blue Sky North Occurrence is the northern expression of a two-kilometer trend about 300 meters wide consisting of several distinct outcrop areas of spodumene bearing pegmatite. Multiple sub parallel spodumene bearing pegmatite dykes are present associated with a generally northeast – southwesterly trending structural corridor.

Mineralization Comments

Jan 05, 2017 (Andrew Tims) - Grab samples from 2016 prospecting produced Li values of 0.03 to 3.40% LiO2.


Apr 08, 2024 (Sheree Hinz) - Drilling done in 2024 by Imagine Lithium Inc. identified a mineralized pegmatite that has been traced over a strike length of 750 m at surface. Hole JP-24-23 intersected 1.09% Li2O over 7.70 m at a depth of 84.85 m below surface. Hole JP-24-24 intersected 1.04% Li2O over 12.80 m at a depth of 90.50 m below surface (Beyond Lithium Press Release, April 2, 2024).
