Mineralization Comments

Jun 09, 2021 (Therese Pettigrew) - The Key Claim is an irregular formation consisting of quartz stringers varying in width from 4" to 36" meandering in a cherty banded iron formation alternating with volcanics. The zone is well brecciated and small veinlets of later quartz run through it. Visible gold is found in the quartz veins and control panning along the vein shows from very fine to coarse gold. Ankerite has been injected with the quartz along with hornblende. Some banding occurs which is well brecciated carbonated and mineralized with pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite and arsenopyrite and pyrite. One drill hole in 1983 on the west end showing gave 0.25 oz Au over 2 feet (Assessment report 42E12NE0241). In 1983, a sample from Trench 1 returned 0.12 oz/t (4.11 g/t) Au over 0.5 m in a section where visible gold was noted (Assessment report 42E12NE0189). A sample taken from a quartz vein in 1998 returned 23 g/t Au (Assessment report 42E12NE2006).
