Mineralization Comments

Nov 04, 2019 (Therese Pettigrew) - The main showing occurs on the west group. It consists of a strong shear zone along the north side of a steep hill of greenstone, which has been stripped continuously for 800 feet and indicated by trenching over a length of 2,700 feet. It strikes N. 70 E. and dips vertically or steeply south. The schisted zone is 4 to 5 feet wide and carries quartz veins ranging from mere stringers up to 30-inch veins, the average width being about 6 inches. The schist is not mineralized and carries no gold values. The quartz is a rather vitreous, sugary type, sparsely mineralized with pyrite, arsenopyrite, and galena, and is reported to carry low values in gold (Laird, 1937). Grab samples collected by Founder Resources in 1989 returned 0.005 oz/t Au (0.17 g/t Au) (Assessment report 42E12NE0009).
