Exploration History

1933: claims staked by H. Haack and J.R. Dreany. 1934-36: Banner Gold Mines was incorporated. Claims were transferred to Banner and trenching and test pitting carried out. 1937: Alsac Mines Ltd. purchased the property from Banner. 1938: Bulk sample was shipped to Ottawa for a mill test. No results were furnished. 1939: claims were cancelled. The Hac-Craig Mining Syndicate was incorporated. J.E. Haack, G. Haack, and H. Craig staked claims over the former Banner-Alsac ground. 1974: Gold Ridge Mines Inc. conducted a magnetic survey. 1981: Pancontinental Mining Ltd. optioned the property, flew airborne EM, magnetics and resistivity surveys, and carried out geological mapping. 1984: Pancontinental carried out stripping and sampling.

Mineralization Comments

Apr 01, 2021 (Therese Pettigrew) - A series of parallel quartz veins cut the mafic metavolcanics and run the complete width of the Banner property. The veins strike approximately 30 degrees NE-SW. The veins range in width from a few inches up to 30 feet and returned assays ranging from $3.20 per ton in Vein 11 up to $320.00 per ton in Vein 2 (0.09 to 9.14 oz/t (3.09 to 313.32 g/t Au) based on a gold price of $35 per ton; Banner Gold Annual Report, 1937).
