Point Location Description: Centre of outcrop marked 4d some 2.7 km northeast of sample site 45 on map 2429.

Access Description: Proceed east from Beardmore, Ontario to secondary highway #801 north for some 29.5 km to a road that leads to the east-north-east. Follow this bush road for almost 2.1 km to a flat outcrop of quartz gabbro.

Dec 07, 2005 (Mark O'Brien) - The diorite and/or gabbro area west of Crooked Green Lake varies in appearance. In places, as along the eastern contact near Crooked Green Lake, it is fine grained and distinguished with difficulty from the lavas. Usually it is granular in texture, dark in colour, with or without blue eyes and splashes of quartz. It may be black and entirely hornblendic or white and feldspathic. In thin section, these rocks are composed of feldspar, hornblende, biotite, pyroxene and quartz. (Moorhouse, 1938, p15) The Crooked Green Lake and Con Creek gabbroic-dioritic intrusions are similar to the Pinel Creek Intrusion and shoul dbe investigated for possible copper-nickel mineralization (Amukun, 1980, p 90).
