Access Description: The property lies approximately 1.5 km northwest of Miner (Little Crooked Green) Lake in Pifher Township. Travel north on Highway 801, which leaves Highway 11 approximately 23 km east of Beardmore, to the Crooked Green River (Second River Crossing), a distance of 22 km. From this poiint, continue westward along Highway 801 for 1 km and turn north on a small gravel trail. The property lies 1 km along this trail.

Exploration History

1936: Stripping and trenching were conducted on a sulphide mineralized zone, but no gold values were found. 1964-65: Prospecting, trenching, a geological survey, an S.P. survey and diamond-drilling (4 holes, 141.1 m total) was conducted. 1969: Two holes totalling 95.7 m were drilled. 1970-77: J. Wodian conducted trenching on the northeast portion of the initial Greenspar Mine Ltd. claim block. 1981: Three prospectors staked and prospected claims covering the Greenspar occurrences. 1982: Anyox Metals Ltd. optioned the property. An EM survey defined 3 conductors. 1983: Anyox drilled 4 holes totalling 589.8 m to test conductors. 2015: Alto Ventures took 38 till samples for processing at Overburden Drilling Management over the Miner Lake and Greenoaks properties.

Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (B Nelson) - The Greenspar property is underlain by mafic to felsic metavolcanics, generally flow rocks but some feldspar porphyry (volcanic-related) also occurs. Small granodiorite intrusions have been noted by Greenspar Mines Ltd. The rocks are sheared locally. A set of vertical fracture zones was noted striking 060-063 degrees through the property. Py, cp, py and minor bn are associated with gold mineralization. Sulphides occur in disseminated form in the volcanic rocks, fractures, shear zones and quartz veins. The No. 1 showing is within a 9 m wide, near vertical shear zone. The zone consists of quartz veining, py, po, and minor cp (5-10% total sulphides). The No. 2 showing is exposed in a large trench 17 m long strikingf 020 degrees and located 190 m east-southeast of the No. 1 showing near the eastern boundary of claim TB 604845. A quartz vein 10.2 cm to 25.4 cm in width strikes 070 degrees and dips 67 degrees south. The host rock is a feldspar porphyry and only trace values of gold and silver were received from sampling of the vein. A shear zone (120 degree strike) was located south of the No. 2 showing approximately 50 m north of post #2 on claime TB 604845. The zone is rusty, pyritized, and hosted by a porphyry. A grab sample of cherty iron formation gave low gold-silver values.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (B Nelson) - Tyson (1965) for Greenspar Mines reported a 4 m wide zone assaying 0.07 oz/ton Au. One 0.15 m section assayed 0.64 oz/ton gold. Another channel sample assayed 2.28% copper across 2.1 m. Low gold values were realized from diamond-drilling. Copper assays up to 3.3% were noted over narrow widths. Anyox Metals Ltd. obtained low gold values in a drill program that intersected intermediate to felsic metavolcanics. These host rock fractures filled or vein hosted py and cp (5% total sulphides). Assays up to 0.25% Cu and 0.255 oz/ton Ag over narrow intersections were noted.
