Jun 22, 2018 (Therese Pettigrew) - Keewatin metasediments and felsic intrusives are cut by north-trending diabase dykes. The mineral deposit occurs in pegmatite and in parts occupies a biotite gneiss, garnet-amphibolite-biotite gneiss contact.

Jun 22, 2018 (Therese Pettigrew) - The mineral deposit occurs in pegmatite and in parts occupies a biotite gneiss, garnet-amphibolite-biotite gneiss contact. It strikes N50-60 degrees W for 1100 feet, dips 50-55 degrees NE near surface decreasing with depth to approx. 30 degrees NE and contains an ore shoot 700 feet long, up to 20 feet thick, and extending up to 700 feet down dip. Mineralization includes massive to disseminated pyrite, pyrrhotite, sphalerite, chalcopyrite, and rarely galena. The massive material forms a 2-7 feet thick core flanked by disseminated material. With increasing depth, mineral grade declines. The recovery grade of ore milled in 1969 averaged 3.00% Zn, 0.79% Cu, 0.02% Pb, 0.41 opt Ag, and 0.002 opt Au.
