Apr 14, 2014 (A Wilson) - The peat is uniform with the greatest depth (3.4 m). The average depth for the deposit is about 2.5 m. The first m of peat is carex peat with a humification of 3-4. The next 1.5 m is generally a sphagnum peat with a moderate humification of 4-6.
Apr 14, 2014 (A Wilson) - This area is considered to be of good potential for development because of the high peat quality. The site is approximately 92 ha in size and contains about 2,059,000 cubic metres of peat.
