Lithology Comments

Apr 30, 2014 (D Draper) - Haavaldsrud drilling intersected gneiss, diabase and pegmatites. Fournier 1999 drilling was collared in vicinity of earlier work and encountered similar lithologies; all but one of the 5 holes in that program initially intersected a diabase dyke unit--this may be what was identified as diorite in Trench 99.

Apr 30, 2014 (A Wilson) - The rock is described as being green, fine-grained, and massive.

Mineralization Comments

Apr 30, 2014 (D Draper) - Best assay results from Haavaldsrud drilling, 1981: 0.24 opt Ag, 0.04% Cu, 0.016% Ni, 0.02% Zn. Mineralization noted in logs included: pyrite, pyrrhotite, sphalerite. There is difficulty in correlating assay results to lithology or mineralization in logs due to poor documentation of sample locations and nearly illegible notations on assay sheets on file. Best results of Fournier's 1998 grab samples (taken from new trench, 20m x 2m, striking N30W and sunk slightly to the NW of previous work are) included: 797ppm Cu (from NW end of trench); over 15% Fe (massive sulphides at SE end of trench); and 334ppb Au (qtz vein? middle of trench). Trench-99 grab samples returned: 923 ppm Cu, 11.56% Fe (east half of trench); 0.9 g/t Ag, 541 ppm Cu, 435 ppm Zn (west half of trench). Drillhole 00-14 returned: 469 ppm Cu and 14.4% Fe (from a zone of quartzitic gneiss / recrystallized iron formation at 95.3m) and 17 ppm Li (from a quartz vein within biotite amphibolitic gneiss at 337.3m).

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Grab samples collected by E. Fournier in 1999 returned assays ranging from 0.046% to 0.050% Cu; 0.01 g/t Au and 0.004% to 0.007% Zn.
