Access Description: The site is accessible via a series of forestry roads heading north from highway 11 at Fauquier. The site is located approximately 4 km north of highway 11.

1969: International Nickel Co. - 1 ddh (400 ft). 1972: Rio Tinto Canadian Exploraiton Ltd. - ground geophysics, mapping, 2 ddh (800 ft). 1988: McKinnon Prospecting - airborne geophysics.

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The hanging wall gneiss is a metamorphosed metasediment. It presently consists of a hornblende-garnet-biotite schist. The iron formaiton has been metamorphosed to coarse-grained hornblende and pyrrhotite with minor garnet. Lenses of pyrrhotite and magnetite are more common at depth.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Diamond drilling intersected 2.4 ft of sulphide rich iron formation that returned an assay of 0.04 oz/t au, 0.0064% Ni, 0.004% Zn, 0.0054% Cu.
