Geology Comments

Apr 03, 2014 (D Draper) - Property is covered by deep overburden (muskeg and clay) with few outcrops apart from bedrock exposed by trenching.General strike of main showing is N 70 - 80º E with a dip of 80º N.

Rock Type Rank Composition Texture Relationship
Gabbroid-Unsubdivided 1 Near
Granite 2 Adjacent
Vein 3 Quartz Host
Vein 4 Calcite Host

Lithology Comments

Apr 03, 2014 (D Draper) - Vein material is described as sporadic, mineralized lenses occurring along and near the contact of felsic and mafic intrusives. The lenses vary in length from 3 to 25 feet and from a half to 2 feet in width. Five separate occurrences of these veins were located on the property. Work was concentrated on the one nearest the south boundary of Claim S21857 (Trench #1). The host rock is metamorphosed sediments within a sequence of granites.

Mineralization Comments

Apr 03, 2014 (D Draper) - Pyrite only noted at main showing in Trench #1; chalcopyrite and galena were noted at Trench #2 (200 ft east of #1); best assay at #2 was 0.15 oz/t Au from a grab sample of silicified porphyry. Trench #1 results (stripped area 200ft by 15ft): 1939: 6 grab samples of quartz veins at surface returned assays of 0.02 to 1.04 oz/t Au. 1946: Samples from zones of massive pyrite (up to 4ft wide) returned up to 0.75 oz/t Au. Channel sampling gave 0.2 oz/t Au over a width of 6 ft. Very fine free gold in association with calcite stringers was discovered in the west end of the trench. Kennco drilling results returned mostly nil to trace gold values except for hole #7 which assayed from 0.03 to 0.12 oz/t Au over a 13-foot zone located directly beneath Trench #1. 1985 grab sampling of Trench #1 (West trench) returned up to 0.29 oz/t Au. Sample from Trench #2 (Middle trench) returned 0.01 oz/t Au.
