Point Location Description: Approximate geographic centre of peatland west of Homuth Lake.

Access Description: The site is accessible from Smooth Rock Falls via Highway 807. Highway 807 abuts the peatland on the east side and a gravelled logging road abuts the southern limit of the peatland.
Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The site is considered to have good potential for peat extraction. There is an estimated volume of 27.9 million cubic metres of peat available for extraction. The site has relatively low tree cover, low stump content and good drainage possibilities enhance the potential for development. The site has potential for peat for fuel extraction and for horticultural applications.
