Mar 20, 2014 (D Draper) - DDH Ranoke 74-5 drilled vertically to 612 ft depth. Last 10 feet of hole logged as (Q): Highly altered, greenish, sericite and talcum schist (Schistosity seems nearly vertical). Probably altered serpentinite.* With footnote on log (Q): *The serpentinite and associated rocks could be a post-Middle Devonian sill, common in the area. It could be classified as a kimberlite.
