Lithology Comments

Mar 21, 2014 (D Draper) - Initial drilling encountered Cretaceous deposits (kaolin silica sand and fireclays) from 18m to bottom of deepest hole, 61m. The thickness of the units is variable, indicating a lens-like occurrence but it is possible to correlate the beds over about 400m between holes, showing their near-horizontal attitude. Individual beds of fireclay up to 2.5m thick were found in some holes. Of the 7 MR series holes in Kipling (Ventures-ANL), MR4 intersected the thickest sequence of Cretaceous units (38m starting at 20m depth). MR3, drilled 800m south of 4, intersected 31m starting at 30m, but the kaolin content of this hole was deemed to be low. Of the Indusmin drilling, the thickest intersections of Cretaceous material occurred in holes 1 (31.1m), 3 (32.3m) and 7 (31.1m), with hole 1 being co-located with MR4 (collared 6.1m to the east of MR4), while 3 and 7 were drilled 400m to the due north and due south respectively.

Mineralization Comments

Mar 21, 2014 (D Draper) - Ventures - ANL hole MR-4 contained zones with up to 20% kaolinite. A composite sample at -10 micron separation showed 60% kaolin. Test firings yielded a PCE of 33. Indusmin drilling intersected varying thickness of kaolinitic silica sand in all 9 holes, most containing kaolin-rich sub-zones (greater than 30% kaolin) ranging from 2 to 6 feet thick and exhibiting moderate lateral continuity between holes. Dense plastic red to brown fireclay beds over 4ft in thickness were encountered in 5 of their 9 holes. Hole 1 intersected 17ft of this fireclay. The thickest unit--36ft--was found in Hole 3 (1/4 mile directly to the north of hole MR-4).
