Dec 17, 2020 (Therese Pettigrew) - DDH CJ 71-3 returned 0.37% Cu over 20 feet, including 0.60% Cu and 0.21 oz/t Ag over 5 feet from a rhyodacite breccia with heavy pyrrhotite and streaks of chalcopyrite (Assessment report 42L06NE0058). Copper Jim which has mineralization in a breccia zone in the form of pyrite, pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite. This zone was traced for a strike length of 600 ft and found to occur across horizontal widths of up to 35 ft. Assays from this property usually range from 2.78 to 7.43% Cu and from 0.03 to 0.07 oz/ton Au (Shklanka, 1968). The Copper Jim Showing consists of five pits and trenches containing predominantly quartz-feldspar and feldspar porphyry, with lesser amounts of mafic volcanic. The QFP exhibits up to 10% quartz eyes 34 mm in size, with variable amounts of sulphides and quartz veins with or without sulphides. Grab samples from these pits ran as high as 3931 ppb Au, 3923 ppb, 1915 ppb and 1185 ppb from the QFP or quartz veins in the QFP; and 2906 ppb from the mafic volcanic adjacent to the QFP in Pit #1. Sampling in 1955 returned 1.92% Cu and 0.6 g/t Au over 2.1 m. Sampling in 1992 returned 4.9 g/t Au (Assessment report 20000001090). Sampling in 1998 returned 5.63 g/t Au from a quartz porphyry dyke with moderate iron carbonate alteration, minor disseminated pyrite and trace chalcopyrite (Assessment report 42L06NE2001).
