Lithology Comments

Dec 03, 2014 (A Wilson) - The discovery hole entered weathered crater facies kimberlite at a vertical depth of 47.5 m after passing through various layers of glacial till consisting of silt, sand and limestone boulders. Hypabyssal facies kimberlite was encountered a few meters below the crater facies. This facies shows a bimodal distribution of olivine, the larger of which contain chrome diopside. Occasional corroded orange pyrope garnets were observed. The vertical hole remained in hypabyssal kimberlite to 177 m where it entered the sedimentary rocks. The kimberlite has a sub-circular shape with a diameter of approximately 30 m along the northeast axis and at least 25 m along the south east axis.

Mineralization Comments

Oct 06, 2009 (A Wilson) - A total of 455.2 kg of core yielded 121 diamonds, 10 of which are macrodiamonds. The diamond population consisted of 111 micro diamonds, 8 macro diamonds and 2 stones >0.8 mm. These results are preliminary. The largest stone weighed 0.10 ct and the estimated average grade of all diamonds recovered was 0.15 ct/t. The diamond results from the 2007 sampling were: one diamond from 1170.0 kg bulk sample processed via DMS. The diamond weighed 0.230 carats. The caustic fusion diamond results were: 14 diamonds from 32 kg processed (yield of 0.44 diamonds/kg)
