Feb 06, 2018 (Therese Pettigrew) - Disseminated chalcopyrite and minor pyrite occur in small irregular-shaped bodies of coarse-grained unaltered gabbro or anorthositic gabbro at or near the base of a flay-lying sheet of fine-grained Late Precambrian diabase that intrudes Rove shale or argillite. The main showing (no. 1) , about 20 feet west of the boundary between the two claims, contains up to 2% chalcopyrite in portions of the outcrop. A grab sample from showing no. 1, taken by an ODM geologist in 1965, contained 0.18% copper.
