Location Method: Conversion from MDI

Access Description: Proceed on Highway 11-17 to Highway 588. Turn left onto Highway 588 and proceed west for 5.5 km to the intersection of Highway 588 and Paipoonge Concession 1 road. A narrow raod leading south into a shale quarry is located on the southern side of the intersection. The old mine site is assumed to be somewhere within this shale quarry.



Exploration History

1887: showing discovered. Development beings with a 6.1 m deep pit and 9.1 m trench. 1889: R.R. Paulison acquired the property and sunk a 9.1 m deep shaft and 45.7 m drift. 1892: drifting. 1971: Elgin Lake Syndicate Ltd. optioned the property and conducted magnetometer and EM geophysical surveys, geochemical and geological surveys.

Mineralization Comments

Feb 06, 2018 (Therese Pettigrew) - In fracture zones associated with the Lone Pine Mine area as calcite, quartz veins. Associated with the calcite and quartz is silver, galena and sphalerite. These silver-bearing veins are 2 feet (0.6 m) wide, striking 050 degrees and dipping vertically (Tanton, 1931).
