Mineralization Comments

Feb 25, 2020 (Andrew Tims) - The amethyst vein consist of a breccia altered Sibley siltstone and mudstone cemented together in a calcite matrix. Very minor amounts of Au, Ag, Ba, Gr, Cu, Pe, Mo, Pb, and Zn are present. The amethyst forms in vugs that are filled with barite mud and the crystals are small and ropy with colours ranging from lavender, purple, blue, reds, and blacks. The contact rock on ether side of the vein is granite.
