Sep 25, 2018 (Therese Pettigrew) - Iron formation in Archean volcanics. At S end of Jasper Lake, a 15.25 m wide band is present, samples of which assayed 29.4 and 28.5% Fe. On the peninsula at the SE part of Cypress Lake, drilling intersected 30 and 22.9 m of iron formation 68.9 m apart. A grab sample assayed 26.64% Fe, and 58.35% SiO2 (Shklanka, 1968).
