Exploration History

1943-44: Sarpedon Mines Ltd. carried out dip needle and geological surveys, and drilled 39 DDH totalling 3660 m. 1949: Head of the Lakes Iron Ltd. drilled 21 DDH totalling 5734 m. 1951: Head of the Lakes Iron Ltd. drilled 12 DDH totalling 3532 m. No assessment files were found on record. This prospect occurs within Quetico Provincial Park, so it is not open for staking.

Sep 24, 2018 (Therese Pettigrew) - NE-trending magnetite-hematite-quartz (chert, jasper) iron formation extending about 12.9 km in length and up to 91.44 m in width, averaging about 22.86 m width.
