Mar 13, 2024 (Nazha Sabiri) - A quartz vein sample over 15 cm from Hole St-02 assayed 13.4 g/tonne of gold, 8.7 g/tonne of silver, 0.82% of lead, 0.29% of zinc and 0.011% of copper. Adjacent to this 15 cm quartz vein is a 7.5 m wide zone of sheared rock with negligible sulphides and values of gold ranging up to 26.44 g/tonne over 0.3 m. (52C10NE0069). A 15 cm a westward-striking branch from the No.6 vein, ran 3% copper and 4.66 g/tonne of gold. (MDC029, p. 62). OGS staff observed native gold associated with arsenopyrite in laminated cherty quartz as well. (R266, p. 80).
Mar 18, 2022 (Therese Pettigrew) - One Sh. 24 ft. deep on q. vein, 2 ft. wide by 150 ft. long, striking 75 degrees. Two other shallow sh. Assays reported from Sh & surface - trace to 1.42 oz./ ton over short distances. Other vein structures reported to give 0.17 oz./ton. At least 9 veins carrying mineralization reported. Q. veins in q. porphyry, chlorite schist, metadiorite, and hornblende gabbro (MDC016 p. 38).
Mar 13, 2024 (Nazha Sabiri) - In the areas with trondhjemite, alteration minerals include sericite, chlorite, and carbonate. If the host rock is gabbro, only chlorite alteration exists
