Exploration History

1976-77: 790 m of DD in five holes. Intersected 16 m of massive sulphides containing primarily py with po, sph (1-5%), cpy (<1%) and mag. Highest assays were: 2.16% Zn, 0.3% Cu over 1.3m; 1.19% Zn, 0.05% Cu over 0.76m; 0.96% Zn, 0.06% Cu over 0.76 m Lithologies included chlorite schists, intermediate and felsic tuffs and flows, gabbro and felsic intrusive rocks. 1985-86: geological and geophysical surveys. 734 m of DD in two holes. Reserves: 6.1 Mt at 1.06% Zn, 0.27% Cu, 3.2 gpt Ag and 0.006 gpt Au Inferred drill resource based on diamond drill results is 10.75 milliion tons grading 0.19% Cu, 0.72% Zn including 3.6 million tons grading 0.35% Cu and 1.43% Zn taken from Minnova assessment file 52 C10NW Y-6
