Nov 26, 2019 (Therese Pettigrew) - DDH NS-95-01 was collared in calc-alkaline, medium K, dacite/rhyodacite flows which persevere to a depth of 42 m. A sample obtained from near the downhole contact plots as a tholeiitic dacite, but more abundant chlorite is noted in this interval and the protolith may have been modified. This interval is transected by mafic and felsic-intermediate intrusions of 1 m to 4 m apparent thickness. Downhole from 42 m the felsic-intermediate flows are succeeded by sub-alkaline, high-Fe tholeiite, typically massive basalt, but locally feldspar phyric. DDH NS-95-02 was collared in subalkaline, high-Fe tholeiites, consisting dominantly of massive basalt flows to a depth of 73 m (Assessment report 52C13NW0013).

Sulphide mineralization composed of pyrite, sphalerite and chalcopyrite were intersected in bands and fracture filling aggregate of mm to cm-scale. DDH NS-95-02 returned up to 0.2 ppm Au, 47.8 ppm Ag, 5250 ppm Pb, 1010 ppm Cu, and 14,300 ppm Zn (Assessment report 52C13NW0013). DDH OL08-04 returned up to 8.3 g/t Au, 32 ppm Ag, 2150 ppm Cu, 758 ppm Pb and 6.0%, Zn over 0.58 m. DDH OL08-06 returned 0.20 m of 39.1 g/t Au, 1.75% Cu and 1.83% Zn, and 2.58 m @ 2.27 g/t Au and 5585 ppm Zn (Assessment report 20000013630). DDH OL10-01 returned up to 6970 ppm Cu and 0.056 ppm Au from a mineralized interval that runs from 26-115 m, and 4880 ppm Cu and 0.034 ppm Au from a mineralized interval that runs from 181.73-242 m (Assessment report 20000004698). DDH OL07-01 assayed up to 2.218 ppm Au over 1.5 m (Assessment report 20000013529). The Stares Powerline South trench returned up to 1.805 ppm Au (Assessment report 20000003020).
