Jun 16, 2022 (Therese Pettigrew) - Pyrite, pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite mineralization occurs in fractured early Precambrian felsic tuffs and cherty sediments. The mineralized zone strikes S80E, dips 80 to 90 degrees S and is at least 5 m wide (SDMR 000514). Sulphides content is estimated at 5 to 50%. Two chip samples from the trench on island 528 P assayed 0.22% Cu and 0.05% Ni, and 0.42% Cu and 0.03% Ni (Assessment report 52E09SW0033).
