Exploration History

1897: The Great Granite Mining and Development Company of Ontario, Ltd. was incorporated. 1898-99: Great Granite carried out prospecting. 1985: Golden Rule Resources Ltd. and Northern Abitibi Mining Corp. carried out prospecting, sampling, magnetic and VLF-EM surveys. 1990: B. Perry carried out prospecting, humus and rock sampling.

Mineralization Comments

May 14, 2020 (Therese Pettigrew) - Gold and bornite found in a 70 foot shaft in granite. Quartz veins found near contact of quartz diorite and metavolcanics (Garratt and Beard, 1976). Samples collected in 1985 returned up to 0.89 ppm Au from sericite schist in the shaft wall (Assessment report 52E10NW9475).
