Lithology Comments

May 14, 2020 (Therese Pettigrew) - A shear zone, 6 feet wide in places, forms a steep cliff face and marks the north contact of the gabbro in the western part of the property. To the east, andesite and minor rhyolite are the dominant rocks. Silicification and carbonatization is evident along the steeply north-dipping shear zone. Thin quartz veins containing minor blebs of pyrite and chalcopyrite are common in parts of the sheared rock (Davies, 1965).
