May 28, 2020 (Therese Pettigrew) - Interest of Noranda and Kerr-Addison in the area was caused by disseminated pyrite, chalcopyrite, pyrrhotite, and molybdenite in associate with the Squaw Lake Stock. These minerals occurred in shears and quartz-carbonate fractures in the altered quartz diorite and quartz feldspar porphyry. Chip samples collected in 1970 by Noranda from sheared and silicified quartz diorite assayed 0.44% Cu and 0.5 oz/t Ag over 4.9 m (Assessment report 52E10NW9469). The best intersection from the 1972 drill hole was 0.52% Cu over 1.4 m, including 2.22% Cu over 0.6 m. The mineralization included pyrite, sphalerite, and chalcopyrite in quartz diorite and amphibolite (Assessment report 52E10SW8533). The best intersection from the 1988 drill program returned 0.61% Cu, and 0.26% Ni over 0.3 m, and 0.47% Cu and 0.17% Ni over 1.0 m.
