Exploration History

pre-1957: Finley McCallum carried out stripping, trenching, geophysical survey. 1372 m of DD in an unknown number of holes. 1974: Hudson Bay Exploration and Development Company Ltd. conducted airborne mag and EM surveys, and drilled 105 m of DD in one hole. 1977: C.D. Anderson condted magnetic and EM geophysical surveys.

Mineralization Comments

Nov 04, 2022 (Therese Pettigrew) - Finely disseminated sulphides in Early Precambrian felsic volcanics. Sulphides occur as replacement and in flat fractures in a narrow band of graphitic sediment interbedded with lavas (SMDR 00526).


Jul 29, 2022 (Q Unknown) - Assays from 1974 drilling not documented. Mineralization included up to 10% pyrite and pyrrhotite. Lithologies intersected included mafic and intermediate metavolcanic rocks.
