Exploration History

1960: C.A. Alcock conducted 143 m of DD in 2 holes. 1961-62: Selco Exploration Company Ltd. optioned the property and conducted geological and geophysical surveys. 392 m of DD in 7 holes. 1966: Steerola Explorations Ltd. conducted ground magnetometer and IP geophysical surveys. 380 m of DD in 4 holes. 1980-81: Sherritt Gordon Mines Ltd. conducted a ground EM geophysical survey. 1986: geological and geophysical surveys. 1990: Noranda Exploration Company Ltd. conducted geological and geochemical surveys.

Mineralization Comments

Nov 23, 2017 (Therese Pettigrew) - Chalcopyrite and minor bornite mineralization occurs in thin massive veins of pyrite and pyrrhotite in fractures in the porphyry and as disseminations in the porphyry. The length of the zone is about 91.4 m, the average width 1.8 m, with a strike of N70E and a steep dip to the south. A sample of the zone assayed in excess of 1% Cu, 0.03 opt Au and 0.4 opt Ag (Shklanka, 1969).
