Access Description: The quarry is on the north side in the CNR right of way 2240 m east of Redditt.
The rock was quarried for railway construction, probably rock fill. This quarry is typical of the small quarries opened during railway construction.

Mar 30, 2022 (Therese Pettigrew) - The area is underlain by massive to porphyritic granodiorite of the Lount Lake Batholith Complex. Major joint directions are 050 / 60 degrees S (the predominant set) and 170 / 90 degrees. They are spaced approximately 1 m apart or more. The granite is cut by numerous pegmatite dikes. Sheeting of irregular thickness dips 10 to 15 degrees to the northeast (Storey, 1986).
