Mineralization Comments

Mar 16, 2022 (Q Unknown) - WIDTH: 80 CM VEIN SHOWS VISIBLE GOLD (RPM 1899-03-03). The property which was worked by Crackerjack Gold Mining Company Limited was described by Bow (1900) "...situated on the south shore of the long arm (known as the Manitou Stretch) of the Lower Manitou lake, about 10 miles from the main body ...is a fine-grained schist which weathers white and brown. The veins consist of zones impregnated with stringers of quartz...two shafts 40 and 45 feet deep on different veins...a third had been sunk 19 feet." (OFR 5753, p. 89, 90, 1990)
