Feb 16, 2011 (J Bongfelt) - 'The intrusive complex at Denmark Lake consists of peridotite, pyroxenite gabbro, diorite, quartz diorite, granodiorite and amphibolite, with enclosed remnants of metavolcanic rocks. Each rock type is compositionally and texturally variable and is intimately associated with other rock types. The oldest rocks of the complex appear to be ultramafic, with gabbro, diorite, quartz diorite, and granodiorite being successively younger.'
