Exploration History

In 1983, R. Fairservice made a gold discovery in the northern part of the claim group (northeast of Mushkasu Lake), within the area covered by this report. Work in this area has been completed by several major companies since 1983 as summarized below: 1983-1984 Noranda Exploration -Linecutting, geological mapping, prospecting, ground magnetometer survey, and IP survey. 1985-1986 BP Selco -Geological mapping, VLF-EM, and IP surveys; Diamond drilling (11 holes). 1987-1988 Granges Exploration Inc -15 drill holes (1452m). Three of those drill holes were drilled to test VLF anomalies in this area - impressive results * see Deposit Comment - Mineralization. 1989-1990 Placer Dome -4 drill holes. The Hope Lake property occurs within an area mapped by the Ontario Geological Survey (P. 2595) (Johns etal, 1984) (Thompson, 1964). An airborne geophysical survey carried out on behalf of the OGS included Hope Lake (1987 maps 80998,81001). Cabo Mining Enterprises acquired the property in the spring of 2004 and carried out a sampling program in the summer of the same year to verify zones of known mineralization. In the spring of 2005, a ground magnetometer survey and excavator stripping program was carried out in selected parts of the property (Sears; April, 2005). 2005-06 Cabo Mining Enterprises conducted a 9-hole drilling program - five holes were located at the northeast end of Mushkasu Lake. These holes tested three targets defined by prospecting, old drilling and ground geophysical surveys (mag & IP) completed by previous workers.

Geology

Province: Superior

Geological Age: Precambrian

Geology Comments

Feb 15, 2011 (J Bongfelt) - 'The property lies within a wedge of Archean aged metavolcanic rocks that is located between the Atikwa and Dryberry granitic batholiths. The rocks consist mainly of northeast trending pillowed to massive mafic volcanics that are considered to be a part of the Populus Volcanics, one of three groups of rocks as defined by Trowell et al (OGS, 1980) that occur in this area.' (Kenora AF 52F/05NW, BB-4, Cabo Mining Enterprises, Drilling Report - pg.5)

Lithology Comments

Feb 15, 2011 (J Bongfelt) - 'The showing is hosted by mafic volcanics that have been sheared, carbonatized, pyritized and silicified. The contact between altered-unaltered mafic volcanics is sharp. Quartz veins to 6 inches were noted in the altered material making up approx. 15% of the rock outcrop. Approx. 700 feet NE of the discovery outcrop, mafic volcanics are cut by P.F.P. dikes with alteration (carbonatization, pyritization) occurring locally. In one location a large quartz vein was observed to cut the mafic volcanics in association with a QFP dike. A sheared gabbro was also observed in this area.' Mineralization Comments

Feb 15, 2011 (J Bongfelt) - A property visit on October 06, 1983 proved the showing to be a new occurrence. Grab samples resulted in economic values of up to 8800 ppb Au. (Kenora Property Visit File 52F/05NW00005, Mushkasu Lake) Further surface sampling by Noranda meets required grade: Trench #1 @ trace to .36 oz/ton Au (Kenora AF 52F/05NW, M-4, Noranda Exploration) 'The most interesting results were from a quartz-sericite schist horizon in the upper part of Hole CHL-3 which assayed 0.249 g/t Au over an 18.3 metre wide interval. A second hole drilled at a steeper angle beneath CHL-3 interesected a similar zone although much more weakly developed and congaing only minor gold.' (Kenora AF 52F/05NW, BB-4, Cabo Mining Enterprises, Drilling Report - pg.7) Another drill program conducted by BP Resources supports this MDI prospect with the following assay results: Hole LB-02-02 - 3.1 ppm Ag and 3120 ppb Au. Hole LB-02-08 reports: 1780 ppb Au; Hole LB-02-10 reports: 6600 ppb Au with a check assay of 0.114 oz/ton Au; Hole LB-02-05 reports: 1550 ppb Au; Hole LB-02-08 reports: 1210 ppb Au. (Kenora AF 52F/05NW, N-9, BP Resources) Granges Exploration Inc. drilled 15 drill holes total - three of those drill holes were drilled to test VLF anomalies in this area resulting in the following: 1.00 to 7.45 g/t Au. (Kenora AF 52F/05NW, V-1, Granges Exploration Ltd., Report - pg.3, Holes ML-9,10,11)
