Access Description: The Maybrun Mine road departs eastwards from Hwy.71; approx. 60km southeast of Kenora.
1983: Robert Fairservice made several gold discoveries around the Mushkasa Lake area. The claims were held by Granges Exploration Ltd. of Vancouver, B.C. under option from Mr. Robert J. Fairservice of Kenora, ON. 1987: DD Hole ML-3 was drilled from November 21 to 22, 1987 for Granges Exploration Ltd. (Kenora AF 52F/05NW, V-1, Granges Exploration Ltd.)

Feb 15, 2011 (J Bongfelt) - 'The property lies within a wedge of Archean aged metavolcanic rocks that is located between the Atikwa and Dryberry granitic batholiths. The rocks consist mainly of northeast trending pillowed to massive mafic volcanics that are considered to be a part of the Populus Volcanics, one of three groups of rocks as defined by Trowell et al (OGS, 1980) that occur in this area.' Feb 15, 2011 (J Bongfelt) - 'Drill Hole ML-3 was drilled 68.58m (225') in depth; the following mineralization was encountered: '2 x 8-10 cm quartz veins with 10-25% pyrite at edges (conductor); quartz vein with trace to 5% pyrite.' (Kenora AF 52F/05NW, V-1, Granges Exploration Ltd.)
