1983: Robert Fairservice made several gold discoveries around the Mushkasu Lake area. The claims were held by Granges Exploration Ltd. of Vancouver, B.C. under option from Mr. Robert J. Fairservice of Kenora, ON. (Kenora AF 52F/05NW, V-1, Granges Exploration Ltd.)

Feb 15, 2011 (J Bongfelt) - 'The property lies within a wedge of Archean aged metavolcanic rocks that is located between the Atikwa and Dryberry granitic batholiths. The rocks consist mainly of northeast trending pillowed to massive mafic volcanics that are considered to be a part of the Populus Volcanics, one of three groups of rocks as defined by Trowell et al (OGS, 1980) that occur in this area.'
