Mar 10, 2011 (J Bongfelt) - 'Rowan Lake is near the western extremity of the Early Precambrian, Savant Lake-Crow belt of metamorphosed volcanic and sedimentary rocks. This wide belt of metamorphosed mafic to felsic flows and associated pyroclastic rocks is intruded by near-comformab1e dykes and sills of gabbro and quartz-feldspar porphyry. The Nolan Lake Stock, dominantly composed of quartz monzonite, intrudes the volcanic sequence south of Rowan Lake. Metamorphism is dominantly lower to upper greenschist facies. An aureole of amphibolite grade metamorphism, encircles the granitic intrusion.' (Kenora AF 52F/05SE, III-5, Silver Lake Resources Inc. - Geology & Soil Geochemistry Surveys Report)

Mar 10, 2011 (J Bongfelt) - 'The Rowan Lake property is underlain by early Precambrian meta-volcanic rocks and actually straddles a major transition in the volcanic rock chemistry from tholeiitic to mixed calcalkaline and tholetiitic. This boundary between oceanic volcanics and overlying stratovolcano is typically the locus of many Early Precambrian gold deposits. Gold deposits recently explored on the nearby Cameron Lake and Monte Cristo properties are contained within altered shear zones which also appear to underlie the Rowan Lake property. Chances for the occurrence of similar gold mineralization on the Rowan Lake property are excellent.' (Kenora AF 52F/05SE, III-5, Silver Lake Resources Inc. - Geology & Soil Geochemistry Surveys Report)

Mar 10, 2011 (J Bongfelt) - In 1985, a total of 151 rock grab samples were collected while mapping and assaying for gold on the Rowan Lake property. A grab sample yielding approx. 950 ppb Au determines prospect deposit status with the diamond drilling assay results in 1986 and 1987. (Kenora AF 52F/05SE, III-5, Silver Lake Resources Inc. - Compilation Map) In 1986, detailed soil and rock sampling and mapping by International Platinum Corp. resulted in DDH RL-86-03 intersecting a strongly anomalous zone of gold mineralization: 0.021 oz. Au/ton over 12 ¼ feet true width (Burden 1986a). * Best assay results: RL-86-03: 1245 ppb Au; RL-86-10: 4183, 4128, 1370, 1230 ppb Au; RL-86-13: 4628 ppb Au In 1987, significant intersections within this zone intersected anomalous mineralization, ie) values better than 0.01 oz. Au per ton. Drill hole RL-86-03 intersected visible gold at approx. 264.5 feet. * Best Assay Results: RL-87-01: 34,110 ppb Au; RL-87-03: 2100, 1300, 1280 ppb Au; RL-87-07: 1153 ppb Au; RL-87-08: 2598, 2570, 2125, 1920 ppb Au (Kenora AF 52F/05SE, RRR-1 & RRR-2, International Platinum Corp.)
