Mineralization Comments

Oct 10, 2017 (C Ravnaas) - Best drill intersections from the 1955 drill program assayed 1.02% Cu and 0.42% Ni over 1.5 m. Lithologies intersected included norite, granodiorite, and intermediate metavolcanic rocks. Sulphides identified included chalcopyrite, pyrrhotite, and pyrite. Best intersections from the 1970 drill program assayed: 3.18% Cu and 0.08% Ni over 0.15 m; 1.82% Cu and 0.06% Ni over 0.12 m; 0.55% Cu and 0.40% Ni over 0.15 m. Mineralization included pyrrhotite, pentlandite, chalcopyrite and pyrite with some sections containing up to 70% sulphide minerals. A grab sample from the 1988 program assayed 0.61% Cu and 0.13% Ni.

Oct 10, 2017 (Therese Pettigrew) - Disseminated chalcopyrite and pyrrhotite in a nearly flat-lying mafic intrusion in “greenstone”. The sulphides occur in a more mafic phase of the intrusion. The mineralized zone is up to 30 m thick. Cu and Ni occur in equal proportions and best combined assays are 1% (Shklanka, 1969). Dome Exploration’s DDH C-1 returned an assay of 2.5 gpt Au over 1.21 m, as well as 0.87% Ni and 0.75% Cu over 1.52 m. DDH C-5 returned assays of 0.79% Ni and 0.51% Cu over 4.57 m (AFRI 20000004085).
