Lithology Comments

Aug 25, 2017 (Therese Pettigrew) - The surface geology consists of mafic-ultramafic Sill No. 1 underlain to the west by mafic metavolcanics. Quartz porphyry dykes intrude the mafic metavolcanics (Daview and Morin, 1976).

Aug 25, 2017 (C Ravnaas) - Grade: up to 0.23 opt Au.


Aug 25, 2017 (Therese Pettigrew) - In a 1944 letter, G.L. Holbrooke mentioned a NE-SW-trending mineralized shear zone near the centre of claim 10061. The zone was reported to be about 18 m wide with low gold values across the width with several samples running as high as 0.23 oz/t Au (7.36 ppm Au) (Davies and Morin, 1976).
