Mineralization Comments

Aug 31, 2017 (Therese Pettigrew) - Zone strikes N8E and dips steeply to the west. Surface grab samples are low and erratic, averaging 0.01-0.04 oz/t Au (0.3-1.2 g/t Au). Assays from drill core range from 0.10-0.51 oz/t Au (3.1-15.9 g/t Au) in 5 zones. There are 5 zones on Vein #1, to 30 ft depth (Neilson and Bray, 1981). The zone is 1300 ft of discontinuous quartz lenses (Beard and Garratt, 1976). The rocks on the west side of Dogpaw Lake are intensely sheared and carbonatized. Mineralization consists of gold and molybdenite in quartz veins associated with the porphyry dykes, with the best gold values coming from vein #1 (Davies and Morin, 1976).
