Point Location Description: From map in AFRI 52F05SW0006
Location Method: Conversion from MDI
Access Description: The property is approximately mid-way between Kenora and Fort Frances, extending from 93°48'26" to 93°51'57" west and from 49°19'25" to 49°20'46" north (NAD83). It can be reached by following the Cameron Lake road, which departs from Provincial Highway 71 at a point 31 kilometres north of Nestor Falls and 14 kilometres south of Sioux Narrows. The Cameron Lake road is a “restricted-access” logging road and a permit from the MNR in Kenora is required. A two-way radio is strongly recommended because the road is narrow and very sinuous. The Flint Lake property is at approximately kilometre 13 on the Cameron Lake road. A haul road runs north from the Cameron Lake road, and gives access to the north shore of the southeast arm of FlintLake.
The earliest reported work is the discovery of the Meahan gold occurrence by J.B. Meahan, at some time prior to 1944. In the late 1980s, G. Martin stripped the Meahan showing and adjacent areas. No sampling was reported. In 1996-97, Tim Twomey re-sampled the Meahan showing and confirmed the high gold values. In 2007-2008, SEDEX Mining Corp carried out IP and magnetic surveys and drilled three holes, of which two were under the potential eastern extension of the Meahan gold occurrence. 1997: Avalon Ventures conducted geological mapping, a soil geochemical survey, and an IP survey. 2007: SEDEX Mining Corp. conducted an IP survey. 2010: Soldi Ventures Inc. conducted geological mapping and geochemical soil sampling.

Province: Superior
Subprovince: Wabigoon
Belt: Kakagi-Rowan Lakes
Geological Age: Precambrian
May 01, 2017 (C Ravnaas) - The property lies in the Kakagi Lake greenstone belt, within the Western Wabigoon Terrane (Stott et al., 2008), a tectono-litho-stratigraphic subdivision of the Superior province of the Canadian Shield. The Kakagi Lake belt is described by Davies & Morin (1976). It forms a synclinorial basin, with mafic metavolcanics at the base and a thick upper sequence of intermediate to felsic metavolcanics intercalated with gabbroic to ultramafic sills. The Kakagi Lake belt is transected by the Pipestone Cameron Lakes deformation zone, a regional structure that is potentially associated with gold mineralization at the nearby Cameron Lake gold deposit. May 01, 2017 (C Ravnaas) - Drill hole FL11-05 was collared in intermediate volcanics, passed through 151 metres of gabbro, 22 metres of peridotite, then back into 16 metres of gabbro before ending at 311 metres. The upper gabbro has disseminated pyrite and pyrrhotite throughout. Anomalous gold commences in volcanics at about 98 metres and continues through gabbro to 203 metres. The single highest assay of 4.065 g/t Au is not visually distinct from the adjacent lower grade sections. After 203 metres, gold values return to background levels, although the gabbro does not appear different and has similar disseminated sulphides. In the peridotite, one single 1-metre sample assayed 2.443 g/t Au, while every other sample had only background gold contents (Kenora AF 52F05SW, RRRR-3, 2.53809, pg. 7).
Aug 31, 2017 (Therese Pettigrew) - The surface geology of the area consist of E-W-trending metavolcanic, mafic and ultramafic rocks. These rocks are all disrupted by a major zone of shearing that trends east-southeast. In the northern part of the property, an area of metabasalt is underlain to the south by a zone of highly altered and sheared gabbro, and then by a zone of intense shearing. The rocks in the shear zone are soft, very schistose, rusty-coloured and spotted with quartz veins. South of the shear zone are encountered a block of sheared chlorite-rich gabbro and a peridotite remnant. Passing futher south, a zone of altered felsic to intermediate tuff and lapillistone are overlain by a a gabbro-peridotite, pyrozenite sill and a thickness of well-bedded felsic tuff and lapillistone. The entire sequence is intruded by a SE-trending diabase dyke (Davies and Morin, 1976). The Meahan Showing is hosted in a silicified, iron-carbonatized, pyritized, sheared gabbro producing assays of 1.96 opt Au in a quartz vein 0.5 m wide with visible gold (AFRI 20000003956).

Aug 31, 2017 (C Ravnaas) - Some time prior to 1944, J.B. Meahan reported a narrow quartz vein to have yielded gold values up to 2 ounces per ton. Diamond drill hole FL11-05 assayed 1.880 g/t Au over 0.63 m, 1.445 g/t Au over 1.0 m, 1.197 g/t Au over 1.0 m, 1.347 g/t Au over 1.0 m, 4.065 g/t Au over 1.0m, 2.443 g/t Au over 1.0 m. Refer to assessment report 52F05SW, RRRR-3, 2.53809, Soldi Ventures Inc. for complete list of intercepts. Grab sample returned up to 41.69 grams per ton Au are reported in Twomey assessment file 52F05SW DDDD5.
Aug 31, 2017 (Therese Pettigrew) - Minor gold mineralization occurs with pyrite mineralization and with quartz veinlets in carbonatized shear zones. J.B. Meahan reported on some grab samples form a quartz vein in an old pit in the SW corner of K10519. The samples had an estimated 6% chalcopyrite, some pyrite, and yielded gold on panning. In claim K10518, about 50-60 m of Post 2, visible gold was reported to occur in some quartz veinlets with carbonate-altered margins. In claim K10513, pyrite mineralization in a shear zone was reported sout of the 230 m mark on the picket line between K10513 and K10514. R. Thomson quoted a confidential source reporting a 1 inch quartz vein with a gold value of 2 opt Au. Also in claim K10513 about 95 m along the picket line, 6 trenches exposed pyrite mineralization in a shear zone. The pyrite cubes were up to 0.2 inches in size, up to 25% of the rock volume and were reported to be gold-bearing (Davies and Morin, 1976). Twomey reported a trench containing a 0.4 m wide quartz vein containing 5% disseminated pyrite with assays of 1.93 and 1.91 opt Au. There is a good correlation between arsenic and gold (AFRI 52F05SW0006). Samples collected by Avalon Ventures returned assays of 1050, 1320, 2420, and 4090 ppb Au (AFRI 52F05SW2006).
