Sep 01, 2017 (C Ravnaas) - Best assay: 2.3 opt Ag, 0.26% Cu, 2.97% Zn over 66 cm (Davies and Morin, 1976). Best intersections assayed: 2.97% Zn and 0.26% Cu over 0.7 m; 1.18% Zn and 0.04% Cu over 1.5 m; and 1.25% Cu over 0.9 m. Mineralization included cpy, sph, po and py.
Sep 01, 2017 (Therese Pettigrew) - Selco’s 1968 hole K-22 encountered minor mineralization in a section consisting of stringers and veinlets of sulphides within a graphitic shear zone. A 66 cm core section assayed 2.3 opt Ag, 0.26% Cu and 2.97% Zn (Davies and Morin, 1976). The Duck Lake sulphide zone is of syngenetic origin and stratabound. Within the mineralized horizon, a distinct though thin band of semi-massive to massive sulphides consisting of pyrite, some pyrrhotite and sphalerite, and fairly rare chalcopyrite. Selco’s DDH K-9A encountered 3 ft of 1.25% Cu. DDH K-10 assayed 1.18% Zn and 0.04% Cu over 5 ft (AFRI 52F05SW0092). Assays from Metalore’s 2010 sampling program returned results of 93-537 ppm Cu, and 1190-2120 ppm Zn.
