Exploration History

1944: Earl M. Robertson Co. drilled 5 x-ray DDH totalling 45.7 m. 1997-98: Hornby Bay conducted prospecting and sampling. 2003: Houston Lake Mining Inc. conducted linecutting and magnetometer and VLF-EM geophysical surveys.

Aug 25, 2017 (C Ravnaas) - Assay: 1800 ppb Au from grab.


Aug 25, 2017 (Therese Pettigrew) - Assays retuned from the 1944 drill program ranged from below detection limit to 0.04 oz/t Au, with most being 0.01 oz/T Au. In DDH No. 5, sample 1317 assayed 0.04 oz/t Au and sample 1318 assayed 0.03 oz/t Au (AFRI 52F05SW0097). Ken Reading described the 1997 sample he took as a weakly pyritized carbonated shear occurring in intermediate volcancis on the west shore of Cedartree Lake. This sample returned an assay of 21 ppb Au, 145 ppm Cu and 84 ppm Zn (AFRI 52F05SE2003).
