Mineralization Comments

Aug 03, 2022 (Q Unknown) - In September 1959, Massval Mines Limited diamond drilled two holes on an unpatented claim (K29936) on the western side of Boyer Lake (Property 10 on Map 2437, back pocket), and two holes on an unpatented claim (K29916) at the northern end of Walmsley Lake (Property 11 on Map 2437, back pocket). All four holes, which are about 120 m long, were presumably to test conductors, and appear to have intersected the contact between the southern side of an elongate gabbro body and mafic metavolcanics. Scattered pyrite mineralization occurred through all the sections. The highest copper value obtained on assay by Massval Mines Limited was 0.20 percent Cu over 0.6 m within the gabbro (Assessment Files Research Office, Ontario Geological Survey, Toronto). (R202, p.89-90). 1959: Best drill intersections assayed: 0.2% Cu over 0.6 m and 0.12% Cu over 1.5 m. Mineralization included pyrite and chalcopyrite.
