Exploration History

1984: Teck Corporation conducted drill programs on both properties (for Claim Holder, Alex Glatz), but only a few, anomalous, gold values were intersected. Purpose: to test new showing at depth. (Kenora Historical File, F09SE00014, New Showing)

Geology Comments

Feb 01, 2010 (J Bongfelt) - Rock type - mafic volcanic - dark green, fine grained, altered entirely to chlorite with a trace of fine grained disseminated pyrite. Rock type - biotite grandiorite - light gray to white with black specks. Fine grained, well foliated, composed of 20-30% feldspar, largely altered to sericite, 30-50% fine grained sugary quartz, 15-25% black biotite, 2-3% calcite and trace to 1% disseminated pyrite. Feb 01, 2010 (J Bongfelt) - The New Showing Occurrence is hosted by felsic intrusions; located within a granodiorite sill-like intrusion immediately east of the Revell Batholith. (Kenora Historical File, F09SE00014, New Showing)
